The RDC Virtual Assistant Certificate came about through my interest in entrepreneurial pursuits, my work on a Masters in Education, and my love of computers. I have been coordinating the program for the past five years. As well, I have taught a variety of courses both face-to-face and online, but my favorites are computer-related courses – Access, Web Design, Desktop Publishing, Word, and PowerPoint. I am also drawn to the courses where I can interact with students on a more personal level – Personal Leadership and Starting a Virtual Assistant Business.
Linda Bayley
I am a Simply Accounting Certified Consultant and I own and operate Bayley Computerized Accounting Solutions. I bring to the table many years of experience from both the public and private sectors. I have had the company for the last 4 years. Before forming my company I worked for 15 years in a Public accounting practice and prior to that I worked in different companies from different business sectors.
I took the Computer Technology Program that the Red Deer College, and many accounting courses through the years. I am also a trained Chef from the program at SAIT.
I believe in “setting it up right the first time”. This will save clients time and money down the road. A clean and concise set of books going to the accountant can save money and possibly tax dollars. Using Simply Accounting™ on a day to day business is a viable economic solution.

It is important to have excellent bookkeepers in today’s society. Learning is an ongoing process and becoming an excellent bookkeeper provides your clients with the best that you can be.

I’ve been a Virtual Assistant since 1998 and am owner and operator of MJVA & Associates (www.mjva.ca) one of the most recognized multi-VA businesses in Canada. I am the founding member of the Canadian Virtual Assistant Network which I recently sold in 2007 in order to focus on my VA business and my passions; teaching, coaching and writing. I am the author of the Virtual Assistant’s Guide to Marketing and the Virtual Assistant’s Guide to the Multi-VA Business. Two books that I am thrilled to see have become extremely popular in the VA industry. I am also a VA Coach, having graduated from the Business Coaching Essentials and the Corporate Coaching Program at Coach U, the foremost school for coach training.
Currently I teach VA-150 Marketing Your VA Business, VA-140 Office Management for Virtual Businesses and VA-130 Starting Your VA Business. I am absolutely honoured to be a part of the Virtual Assistant Certificate Program which in my opinion is one of the best VA programs in the world.
